About
Me.
I'm Melinda Binte Mazlan, a final year student pursuing a diploma in Apparel Design & Merchandising with a specialisation in Fashion Design at Temasek Polytechnic.

Driven by a passion for creativity and innovation, my design philosophy follows a ‘Start, Adapt, Refine’ approach, embracing exploration to organically evolve my work. I believe functionality should compliment aesthetics, ensuring designs are both purposeful and visually compelling. Guided by innovation and sustainability, I draw inspiration from overlooked details, transforming them through textile manipulation into dynamic, tactile forms.
In 2021, I founded Naughty Knotty, a handmade brand that began as an outlet to share my creations and passion for textiles and fashion. Through this brand, I explore slow fashion, emphasising craftsmanship, sustainability, and unique designs. Ultimately, my goal is to create designs that challenge perspectives, offering new ways to see and experience the world.
